Due to adverse weather conditions at the U.S. circuit, race control made the decision to cancel the second F1 Academy race in Miami.
After a 30-minute delay from the scheduled start time, race control decided to cancel the second race of the F1 Academy weekend in Miami. Heavy rain fell over the Florida circuit, rendering the track unsafe and leading to the cancellation of Race 2 for safety reasons.
The female drivers took to the track behind the Safety Car for reconnaissance laps to assess the conditions. However, the situation was far from ideal: Sauber-backed driver Emma Felbermayr went off track, although her car remained undamaged.

Thus, the F1 Academy weekend in Florida ends prematurely. There is now concern that the poor weather could also impact the Formula 1 Grand Prix, which is currently scheduled for 10:00 PM local time. The next round of the all-female championship will take place at the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve in Montreal, from June 13 to 15, 2025.
