Lewis Hamilton speaking to the media: “Charles was on the slower tyre, I could have…”
Lewis Hamilton didn’t look happy — and certainly not smiling — after the Miami Grand Prix. The Brit, who was caught several times on fiery team radios regarding Charles Leclerc and Ferrari, finished a disappointing eighth in what was an underwhelming weekend for car #44.

Lewis Hamilton’s Words
Sky Sport F1 reporter Mara Sangiorgio asked Hamilton: “Based on your radio messages, it seemed like you weren’t happy with how the team handled things with Charles. Is that right?”
Hamilton replied: “I wouldn’t say I wasn’t happy, but I was definitely frustrated in that moment. It wasn’t clear what the team wanted to do, and that’s never a good situation for a team. None of us want to be in that position. I was on a different strategy — I had the faster tyre, the car was finally feeling good, and I could see the cars ahead. So I thought maybe I could catch them.”

“But then… I lost a lot of time. Charles was ahead on the same compound I’d been on earlier, which wasn’t working well at that stage, and he was struggling. I got stuck behind him, and the team took way too long to make a decision. That’s why I was frustrated” , he concluded.
