The American outfit is working on multiple fronts, as it is set to become an official power unit manufacturer starting in 2029 thanks to its collaboration with General Motors. New information is surfacing regarding the power unit division’s progress, and early development updates are said to be encouraging. Engineers have emphasized, however, that the current version of the engine is still in its early stages, with the final design expected to evolve significantly over the coming years.

Cadillac will rely on multiple facilities to carry out both projects simultaneously. In addition to its base in North Carolina, the American team will also operate a facility in the UK dedicated to chassis design and development for next season’s cars. As a result, anticipation continues to grow around what the U.S.-based team will bring to the Formula 1 grid.
