Bologna lifts a trophy after 51 years – and among the fans celebrating is F1 rising star Kimi Antonelli, who admitted earlier today he was nervous ahead of the match
Rome, Stadio Olimpico – A historic night for Bologna FC, who defeated AC Milan 1-0 to win the Coppa Italia, thanks to a second-half goal by Ndoye. This marks the club’s first trophy in 51 years, sparking wild celebrations across the city — and also in the heart of a young Formula 1 talent.

Among the club’s most passionate supporters is Andrea Kimi Antonelli, the 2006-born driver under contract with Mercedes in Formula 1, who has always proudly supported the Rossoblù. Speaking at a Petronas event in Turin earlier today, Antonelli admitted:
“Tonight I’m going home to watch the match with some friends. I really wanted to go to the Olimpico, but it was too complicated to organize. If we win? Well, there’ll be a party.”
And that’s exactly what happened. Vincenzo Italiano’s Bologna held off Milan’s attacks — despite controversy from the Rossoneri over referee Mariani’s decisions — and secured a historic victory that sent fans into a frenzy.

For Antonelli, Italy’s brightest motorsport prospect, it’s another emotional highlight in a season already packed with milestones: after scoring pole position in the Miami Sprint, now his beloved Bologna is back to winning ways — and the celebration is on.
