A good morning session for Lewis Hamilton, who, however, was unable to replicate it in the afternoon session.
A rather challenging Friday for Lewis Hamilton, who in the second free practice session of the Imola Grand Prix did not go beyond eleventh place on the timesheet, struggling noticeably to put together a clean lap during the qualifying simulation. Like his teammate Leclerc, however, Hamilton seemed fairly consistent in race pace, showing good rhythm.

The seven-time world champion commented on the two practice sessions at the Santerno circuit at the end of the day as follows: “The first session was positive, the balance was good and it didn’t seem like there was much to change going into the next session. But FP2 turned out to be more challenging because I struggled to find consistency in performance. We’ll analyze the data we collected this evening, but we completed the program, including the long runs, so we have a good amount of information to work with.”
The third free practice session, therefore, becomes crucial for Hamilton and Ferrari to fine-tune the car ahead of a qualifying session that promises to be tight and highly significant, given how difficult overtaking is on the Imola circuit.
