The verdict is in regarding Lewis Hamilton’s impeding of Max Verstappen during qualifying for the Monaco Grand Prix
Lewis Hamilton penalized — that’s the outcome of the stewards’ investigation following the incident involving the British driver and Max Verstappen. After Charles Leclerc secured a front-row start, just a tenth behind pole-sitter Lando Norris, bad news has now arrived for Ferrari.

After hours of deliberation, which included a meeting with team principal Frédéric Vasseur and Hamilton himself appearing before the stewards, the FIA has issued a three-place grid penalty to Hamilton. As a result, the British driver will now start from seventh on the grid, dropping behind Verstappen in fourth, Hadjar in fifth, and Alonso in sixth.
