Charles Leclerc’s words at the end of the Monaco Grand Prix – second place for the Monegasque Ferrari driver.
Charles Leclerc finished second in the Monaco Grand Prix, despite putting pressure on Norris in the final fifteen laps of the race. As usual on the streets of the Principality, qualifying proved decisive, with the Ferrari driver narrowly missing out on pole position by just one tenth to the McLaren driver. Still, the result boosts confidence for both Charles and the Scuderia heading into the crucial race in Barcelona.

A second-place finish that, of course, also helps Leclerc in the standings, as he gains ground on Russell and Verstappen and claws back three points on Piastri—keeping his championship hopes alive. These were the local hero’s comments after the race: “To be honest, coming into the weekend the expectations weren’t high, so overall we can say it was a good weekend, even if I would have liked to win. Lando had a good start, and then the race was a bit boring at the beginning. Toward the end I tried to put pressure on him, but I couldn’t do much.”
The Monegasque then added: “In any case, racing here is always very special for me. As a Ferrari driver, you’re already lucky because you always get a lot of support, and racing at home in Monaco gives me even more motivation. I wanted to give the fans a win, and I hope to do that next year.”
