Massimo Rivola, CEO of Aprilia Racing, suffered a fracture during the Aprilia All Stars event: a rough fall for the team boss.
The Aprilia All Stars 2025, the grand celebration of all things Aprilia held this weekend at the Misano World Circuit, delivered plenty of smiles and entertainment for fans — but also a few unexpected moments. During a demo race on classic Moto Guzzi bikes, Aprilia Racing CEO Massimo Rivola suffered a highside at Turn 3, crashing hard onto the tarmac.
After the fall, Rivola was taken to the circuit’s medical center, where his right ring and pinky fingers were immobilized due to a fracture. Despite the injury, Rivola kept his sense of humor, telling Sky:
“To understand an injured rider, you have to get injured yourself!”
In true paddock spirit, Rivola is already preparing to fly to Aragon, where Aprilia faces a high-stakes weekend — both on and off the track. The big issue looming is the Jorge Martín situation: the 2024 reigning World Champion, who only raced the Qatar GP before getting injured again, has expressed a desire to leave Aprilia at the end of 2025, aiming to activate an early-exit clause in his contract.
It’s a major headache for the Noale-based team, with Rivola leading the charge in trying to keep hold of the #89 rider.
