The agreement was signed with the event’s promoter and the governments of Canada and Québec, securing the race’s place in the championship for over a decade. This year’s race marked the 54th edition since the inaugural event in 1967. Four current drivers – George Russell, Max Verstappen, Lewis Hamilton, and Fernando Alonso – have all won at the 4.36 km circuit, with Hamilton sharing the all-time win record (7) with Michael Schumacher.
