Frederic Vasseur is out at Ferrari, with Antonello Coletta set to take over — the stunning revelation comes from La Gazzetta dello Sport.
A bombshell has hit the Formula 1 world — and especially the Ferrari camp. According to a report by La Gazzetta dello Sport, penned by renowned journalist Luigi Perna, Frederic Vasseur will step down as Team Principal of Scuderia Ferrari at the end of the 2025 season.
The report, as also highlighted by our friends at HammerTime, comes from the same journalist who, in November 2022, first broke the news of Mattia Binotto’s departure — a report that was initially denied by the team, sparking internal tensions and controversy.
Now, two years later, another leadership shake-up could become reality.
Vasseur, those words before the film…
On Tuesday, among the guests at the world premiere of the movie “F1”, was none other than Frederic Vasseur, Team Principal of Ferrari. The Frenchman appeared cheerful as he greeted fans — but just moments later, he dropped a cryptic remark while speaking to Canal+.
“Me acting in the film? Why not, I’m looking for a job…”
Vasseur joked, clearly referencing the swirling rumors about his potential exit from Ferrari. A light-hearted moment — but one that, in hindsight, feels loaded with meaning.
As reported by La Gazzetta — and hinted at by GPKingdom in recent days — Antonello Coletta is set to replace Vasseur. Currently Ferrari’s Global Head of Endurance and Corse Clienti, Coletta is the man who “led Ferrari to three consecutive victories at the 24 Hours of Le Mans in the Hypercar class,” as Perna notes in his article.
If confirmed, this decision would mark the beginning of a new chapter for the Prancing Horse. The rumors have been swirling, and it may just be a matter of hours before we see further developments in this unfolding story.
