Bezzecchi on Mugello: “The Aprilia is improving a lot, I was the 2nd fastest at Aragon”

Marco Bezzecchi is full of praise for his Aprilia: “Race pace is really strong, we’re making big progress.”

Confidence is building in Noale, especially thanks to Marco Bezzecchi’s recent performances. After his win at Silverstone and a strong double comeback in Aragon, the Italian machine is proving to be one of the strongest on the grid right now — even with Jorge Martin still sidelined due to injury.

Marco Bezzecchi’s words

Bezzecchi’s words in the pre-Mugello press conference: “I’m really happy to be here at Mugello with Aprilia. It’s my first time on this track as a factory rider for an Italian brand, and also my first home Grand Prix in these colors. It will be amazing to see how the bike performs on such a fantastic circuit.”

Then, on his Aprilia: The bike is improving a lot, and I can’t wait to get on track and see all the fans. The weather looks great, so I’m feeling super pumped.”

“In the last few races, our race pace has been very good — even though we struggled a bit in qualifying with the soft tyre. During the Aragon test, I was the second-fastest, but tests are always tricky to judge: there’s a lot of rubber on track, some riders push for time, some don’t, so the reference points aren’t always clear.”

Bezzecchi’s conclusion: “In any case, we did find something. Now we have to confirm these good feelings, here at Mugello and in the next rounds — they’re all going to be just as important.”
