The Portuguese MotoGP rider Miguel Oliveira, compatriot of Diogo Jota, speaks out on the immense tragedy of last night.
The sports world is still shaken by the tragic news of the passing of Diogo Jota, Liverpool striker, and André Silva, also a victim of the same car accident.

Just hours after the tragedy was confirmed overnight, Miguel Oliveira, Portuguese MotoGP rider and member of the Prima Pramac team, expressed his deep condolences with a heartfelt message.
“It’s impossible to remain indifferent in the face of the tragic loss that struck us this morning. Life can be cruel and unfair in ways we don’t expect. A heartfelt embrace to the entire family, to the wife and children. Rest in peace, Diogo Jota and André Silva,” said number 88, emphasizing the shared pain felt across the Portuguese sporting community.

Two who proudly carried the Portuguese flag high: today, however, one of the greatest stars of modern football and of the Seleção das Quinas — recently crowned winners of the Nations League 2025 for the second time in their history — is mourned.
