Likely titled “NK 370” and directed by Mahesh Narayanan: here are all the details
Following the wave of the upcoming “F1” film starring Brad Pitt, India is ready to tell its own story in the world of Formula 1. A new film is in the works, centered on the career of Narain Karthikeyan, the first Indian driver to race in a Formula 1 Grand Prix.
The project, tentatively titled NK 370, is being directed by acclaimed Indian filmmaker and screenwriter Mahesh Narayanan, one of the most renowned names in Bollywood. Produced by Blue Marble Films, the movie will initially be made in Tamil, according to reports from Variety and shared by Motori Dimenticati.
Karthikeyan, who made his Formula 1 debut in 2005 with Jordan, welcomed the news with great enthusiasm: “Motorsport gave me everything. This film will give my story back to the world,” said Narain.
The movie will be a hybrid between documentary and cinematic storytelling, aiming to highlight the key moments in Karthikeyan’s career — from his beginnings in karting to his F1 debut, while also shedding light on the challenges faced by a young Indian entering a sport traditionally dominated by Europe.
