Almost all the stars of Formula 1 have chosen Italy for their summer holidays: here’s who was there!
It’s no secret that Formula 1’s protagonists love Italy, but never before has the Italian country become such a key destination for drivers and familiar faces from the paddock. Between Liguria and, above all, Sardinia, many decided to enjoy the Italian seas for a few days of relaxation before returning to the track.
Here Are ALL the Stars in Italy! Max Verstappen and Kelly Piquet
Four-time world champion Max Verstappen chose Sardinia to spend some days with his partner Kelly Piquet and their newborn daughter Lily. A special occasion for the Red Bull driver, who alternated between the crystal-clear sea and precious family time.
George Russell
Mercedes driver George Russell also went for Sardinia, spotted with his girlfriend while enjoying a few days of total relaxation away from the paddock pressure.
Charles Leclerc
Ferrari’s home favorite, Charles Leclerc, didn’t miss out on Italy’s coasts. He too opted for Sardinia, accompanied by his girlfriend Alexandra and his loyal dog Leo, with whom he was often seen between beach time and leisure moments.
Andrea Kimi Antonelli
Holidays in Sardinia as well for Mercedes’ young Italian talent Andrea Kimi Antonelli. There were a few unexpected moments too: the Bologna-born driver was “caught” by fans after his jet ski broke down, a scene that amused those who witnessed it.
Toto Wolff (with Flavio Briatore and Stefano Domenicali)
Mercedes team principal Toto Wolff was filmed on board his yacht in the company of two big motorsport names: Flavio Briatore and Stefano Domenicali. Wolff was also spotted meeting Verstappen on his yacht during the stay.
Lawrence Stroll
Lawrence Stroll, too, sailed towards Sardinia with his luxurious superyacht. According to some reports, the Canadian businessman even met Charles Leclerc during his stay—a rumor that inevitably sparked fans’ curiosity.
Nico Hülkenberg
Not only Sardinia: German driver Nico Hülkenberg chose Liguria for his summer break, spending a few days in one of the most beloved spots on the Italian Riviera before getting back on track.
All the F1 protagonists will soon return: from September 5 to 7 they’ll be back in action at the Italian Grand Prix in Monza, an unmissable and iconic event for every Formula 1 fan.
