Everything is set for the penultimate round of the F1 Academy in the Netherlands: here’s all you need to know about the fifth round of the championship led by Susie Wolff.
The summer break is finally over and this weekend – alongside Formula 1 – F1 Academy will also return to the Zandvoort circuit. In the Netherlands, the third-to-last round of the season for the all-female category will take place. At the moment, the Drivers’ Standings are led by Doriane Pin – supported by Mercedes AMG-Petronas F1 Team – with 109 points, followed by Chloe Chambers with 89 and Maya Weug with 72.
For the Ferrari-supported driver, the home weekend represents a concrete chance to bounce back and climb back up the standings, especially after the disappointing events at the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve in Canada, where technical issues forced Weug into her first retirement.
Additionally, for Round 5 of the season, 20-year-old Dutch driver Esmee Kosterman will take to the track as a wild card, at the wheel of the #86 car supported by TeamViewer. The car will feature a special livery dedicated to the Visibility Drives Change campaign, showcasing over 200 faces of women who have inspired meaningful change across various fields – a powerful statement of the value of female role models as a driving force for progress.
