Lando Norris’ McLaren has been investigated by the FIA: here’s Jo Bauer’s report.
One year ago, the FIA was investigating McLaren’s rear wing case, and one year later (once again ahead of Baku) comes the routine report from technical delegate Jo Bauer concerning post-race inspections. As per procedure, one of the cars classified in the top ten was randomly selected for more detailed checks. This time, it was car #04, belonging to Lando Norris.
The inspections focused primarily on the steering wheel assembly. FIA inspectors compared the physical component with the official OSC documentation, as required by Article 17.6 of the Technical Regulations. They also examined the clutch actuation device (Article 9.3.2), while the electronic schematics provided as part of TD001 were compared with the physical hardware. General compliance checks were also carried out in line with Articles 8.3 and 8.7.
At the end of the inspection, the FIA confirmed that all components were fully compliant with the 2025 Formula 1 Technical Regulations. No irregularities were found, meaning car #04 passed the routine checks without issues.
