Despite living with cerebral palsy (a result of a premature birth), Nicolas handled the situation with remarkable calm and determination. “I stayed surprisingly calm throughout, trying to minimize damage to the car while keeping myself safe. I’m very proud of how I managed the situation,” the driver said.
He added: “After yesterday’s fire, it’s uncertain whether I’ll compete in the final race of the season at Brands Hatch next week. But if I don’t get the chance to finish the season, I want to sincerely thank everyone for their support this year—friends, family, and sponsors—for their love and encouragement in following my dream and pursuing my journey.”
Nicolas concluded with a message of pride about his career: “Personally, I feel I drove at my absolute best in the BTCC this year, and I’m very proud of the progress I’ve made.”
