It’s been another difficult week for Jorge Martin. After his crash in the Motegi Sprint, the Aprilia rider was forced to undergo surgery once again. Jorge Martin’s fourth surgery: a nightmare season

For Martin, this marks yet another setback in a 2025 plagued by injuries. The Spaniard has already missed 10 race weekends this season: first in February, when he fractured his hand and foot during Sepang testing; then in April in Qatar, where a violent crash left him with 11 broken ribs and forced him out of seven GPs. In between, another training accident sidelined him with multiple fractures to his left forearm and wrist.

The Motegi crash is therefore his fourth major injury this year—a nightmare campaign that has derailed his season and could even affect his 2026 campaign, given the physical toll.

Aprilia and fans alike now await further updates, hoping to see Martin back on track soon and finally at full strength.
