The British team renews its identity for 2026, blending tribute to its history with ambitions to return to the forefront of Formula 1.
Williams, one of the most iconic teams in the F1 paddock, is officially ready to turn the page. Starting in 2026, the team will compete under the new name Atlassian Williams F1 Team, featuring a completely redesigned logo that modernizes the legendary “Forward W” created by Frank Williams, a symbol of the team since its founding in 1977.
This evolution aims to connect the team’s glorious past with an ambitious vision for the future. The new identity, according to the official website, is designed to clearly communicate the team’s mission: to compete and win at the highest levels of Formula 1 while keeping alive the passion and historical values of independence, innovation, and determination.
With nearly 50 years of history and nine Constructors’ Championships, Williams is one of the most successful teams in F1 history. Today, under the ownership of Dorilton Capital and with James Vowles as Team Principal, the team aims to boost competitiveness with top-tier drivers such as Carlos Sainz and Alex Albon. The 2025 season has already shown encouraging signs: the team is currently fifth in the Constructors’ Championship with 111 points, more than in the previous seven seasons combined, and has secured its first podium since 2021 in Baku, as well as its first Sprint podium in Austin.
