The Brazilian Grand Prix continues to stir controversy. Following yesterday’s Adami–fans incident, another unpleasant episode tainted the weekend atmosphere in São Paulo: during the podium celebrations, Lando Norris was met with loud boos from the crowd — and a viral video shows a Racing Bulls employee seemingly urging fans to continue booing and disapproving of the McLaren driver.
A gesture that immediately sparked outrage and prompted an official reaction from the Faenza-based team. In the footage, the VCARB staff member is seen laughing and giving a thumbs-down gesture toward the audience, before being stopped by another team employee.
Over recent years, Formula 1 has witnessed a worrying rise in toxic fan behavior. Boos, insults, and hostile acts have become alarmingly common — and Norris has often been one of the main targets. It had already happened in Austin, and especially in Mexico, where he was booed in reaction to the Monza clash with Piastri. But in Brazil, things went even further.

The Racing Bulls respond with an official statement
The Faenza-based team released a note on X a few hours later:
“We are aware of the video taken below the podium in Brazil. We want to clarify that it does not reflect the values or spirit of our team. The matter has been handled internally. We believe in showing respect to every driver, team, and fan — both on and off the track.”
A statement that officially closes the case, but leaves open a broader reflection: Formula 1 is paying the price of an increasingly divided fanbase, where the line between passion and disrespect seems thinner than ever.
