Sauber’s special Las Vegas livery pays tribute to its F1 history and the final three races of this car era
A special livery for a special Grand Prix. This is the message that the Stake Sauber team conveyed moments ago via their social media channels. On the eve of the Las Vegas weekend, the third-to-last round of the World Championship, the Swiss team has decided to unveil a revamped livery for their C45 car.
Following in the footsteps of other teams recently (including Williams and Alpine), Sauber has also chosen to offer fans something new, honoring their legacy in F1.
The Chequered Flag on the C45: The End of an Era
With 2026 rapidly approaching, a “new generation” of F1 cars will be introduced. This revolution will, of course, be preceded by the definitive phasing out of the 2022-generation cars, but there is more to it for Sauber.

For Sauber, this also signifies a change of identity, given the upcoming transition to Audi, which will debut its own livery next season. For this reason, the Swiss outfit has chosen to display the chequered flag on their car for its final kilometers in F1, symbolizing the finish line and, metaphorically, the conclusion of an adventure
A historic era thus comes to an end, characterized by notable achievements (most recently, Hülkenberg’s first career podium at Silverstone) alongside many ups and downs.
