The 2025 season comes to an end with F1 Academy Race 2 in Las Vegas, won by Chloe Chambers, but it was Doriane Pin who claimed the title of Champion of the third season of the all-female championship.

Welcome to the final show – The run for the 2025 F1 Academy title resumed with the last race of the season under the magical lights of Las Vegas, where American driver Chloe Chambers, supported by Red Bull Ford and part of Campos Racing, came out on top. The one to inherit Abbi Pulling’s crown, however, was Doriane Pin, who emerged victorious from an intense head-to-head battle with Maya Weug, the Dutch driver supported by the team from Maranello.

The report from F1 Academy Race 2 in Las Vegas

It was a weekend to forget for Emma Felbermayr who—after the technical issues she suffered in the first race of the weekend—was once again unable to start Race 2, remaining stuck on the grid during the formation lap due to the same issues she had experienced in Race 1, held the previous night (Italian time).

When the lights went out, Chloe Chambers got an excellent launch to defend her lead ahead of teammate Alisha Palmowski, while Doriane Pin tried to take third place by attacking Alba Larsen, who, however, managed to hold off the French driver fighting for the Title. Right behind the Mercedes driver was Maya Weug who, starting from fifth, tried to put pressure on her rival: the two went wheel-to-wheel, offering the crowd an exciting close-quarters fight, but Pin ultimately managed to maintain her position.

On lap 3, the first Safety Car of the race came out following contact between the weekend’s wild card, Payton Westcott, and Joanne Ciconte, with Westcott forced to end her participation in the final round of the F1 Academy season prematurely. Rachel Robertson was held responsible for the incident and received a 10-second penalty.

Race 2 resumed at the end of lap 5—where Alba Larsen attempted to take second place from Alisha Palmowski, but it was then Doriane Pin who came out on top in the battle with the Tommy Hilfiger-backed driver, who later let Maya Weug through to avoid interfering in the World Title fight. Meanwhile, further back, Ella Lloyd climbed to seventh position after overtaking Tina Hausmann.

A 2:06.927 was the fastest lap set by Maya Weug on lap eight of thirteen: the Prancing Horse driver was the first to dip under the two-minute-seven mark in her attempt to overtake the Silver Arrows-supported driver. The move succeeded on the third-to-last lap, with the Dutch driver securing third place, positioning herself behind the two Red Bulls on track. Without wasting any time, Weug immediately set after second place, attempting an outside pass on Alisha Palmowski, but the British driver defended well, reacting immediately and keeping her spot on the podium.

At the end of lap 13, the chequered flag waved with victory for Chloe Chambers, ahead of teammate Palmowski and Maya Weug on the podium. Alba Larsen, Doriane Pin, Ella Lloyd, Nina Gademan and Tina Hausmann completed the top eight of F1 Academy Race 2 in Las Vegas. This marks the conclusion of the third edition of the women’s championship led by Susie Wolff.
