Eloisa Lambiase, the wife of the Italian-British engineer, has breast cancer: the announcement came directly through a very heartfelt post.
The wife of Gianpiero Lambiase, Eloisa, has revealed that she is battling breast cancer. This likely explains her husband’s absence from several races during the 2025 season and the possible time away from the track in 2026, when the new technical regulations will come into force.
The images from Abu Dhabi and the rumour
Images of Gianpiero Lambiase in tears at the end of the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix deeply affected the paddock and Formula 1 fans. Max Verstappen’s long-time race engineer – a key technical and human reference point for the four-time world champion – appeared visibly shaken on the Red Bull pit wall, suggesting that his emotions went far beyond the sporting result.
Yesterday, Lambiase was also linked by rumours to a potential CEO role at Aston Martin, speculation that ultimately found no concrete confirmation.
The gesture and message from Lambiase’s wife
During the Christmas holidays, Eloisa bought cupcakes as a gift for the medical staff, later sharing them with a message on her Facebook profile: “The most beautiful cupcakes made by the two most beautiful souls, for the incredible medical team. I will be forever grateful to all the medical staff, friends and family who have shown so much love, kindness, generosity and compassion. The journey isn’t over… but with the support I have behind me, I can take on anything! I love you all!”
The bakers Ro & Mary’s also shared a message on Instagram: “Yesterday we celebrated a milestone that means more than words can capture. Our beautiful girl Eloisa reached a huge step in her breast cancer journey, and witnessing her strength has been nothing short of inspiring!”
From everyone at GPKingdom, a big hug and best wishes for a full and speedy recovery to Eloisa.
