Charles Leclerc analyzed the 2024 season, in which he achieved three victories and a personal record of podium finishes.
The 2024 season ended almost a month ago, and even in this period of relative and apparent calm, many things are brewing. As we know, Formula 1 is in constant motion, and the 2025 season is just around the corner, with Lewis Hamilton officially debuting with Ferrari in January.
Charles Leclerc, his teammate, comes off a very positive season with three victories (Monaco, Monza, and Austin) and a personal record of podium finishes. He finished third in the Drivers’ Championship and is eager to start the next season, in which Ferrari will target both titles.
The number 16 of Ferrari has, in the meantime, taken stock of the just-concluded season. Here are his words: “I really enjoyed the wheel-to-wheel battles. These are exciting moments of the weekend, where you have to adapt to the driving styles of the other drivers. When there’s a lot at stake, you can afford to take more risks, and that’s what excites me the most. The duel with Piastri in Qatar? In that situation, it was important to maximize the points. At the end of the year, with a clear goal, you can be more decisive, and that’s what I like.”
Leclerc then added: “Compared to previous years, this season was different. In the past, there was always one or two races where I made the wrong decisions and ended up losing valuable points. This year, I don’t think I left anything on the table, and that’s what makes me satisfied.
If I had to choose just one moment of this season, I would say Monaco. It was a special victory. As a child, I dreamed of racing there, and once I got to Formula 1, I started to dream of winning. After difficult years, being able to stand on the top step of the podium made everything even more extraordinary. The work we did has brought us closer to our main rivals, and that gives us confidence to build something important.”
