Bad news continues for Aprilia: the reigning world champion will also miss the next MotoGP round.
The season is getting tougher for Jorge Martin: after missing the opening GP in Thailand, the Spaniard will also miss Argentina and America. Following a double injury, first during the Sepang tests and then in training, the recovery times for the new number one on the grid were expected to be long, although there was still a small hope for his possible return in the third race of the season.

The news came directly from Martin himself, who connected during the pre-Argentina GP riders’ conference. It was then reported just a few minutes ago on the MotoGP and Aprilia social media pages. Both stated, “Jorge Martin will miss the Americas GP.“ The Noale-based team added in the description: “Martinator is improving, but still needs patience for a full recovery. Come on, Jorge.”
Although the number one rider is healing from his multiple fractures, he will stay off the track at least until the end of March. His condition will likely be reassessed before the weekend in Qatar, which will take place from April 11 to 13.
