Sauber celebrates Japanese culinary art and its title sponsor “Stake” ahead of the third round of the Formula 1 season (assuming it’s not an April Fool’s Day prank): here are all the pictures.
Ahead of the third round of this Formula 1 season, which will be held this weekend at the Suzuka circuit, Stake F1 Team Kick Sauber published – today, April 1 – on its social channels the images of the livery that the Swiss team could bring to the track on the Japanese track.

Following in the footsteps of Haas F1 Team and Red Bull, Stake F1 Team Kick Sauber would also seem to have decided to bring to Suzuka a specially made livery inspired by Japanese culinary art and the prized Wagyu meat: however, the choice would not only refer to the link with Japanese culture, but would also refer to the title sponsor of the Swiss team, Stake, through a clever and amusing play on words.
In fact, the team joked about the novelty with the line, “Has someone checked the expiration date on this Stake?” – a reference to both the brand name and the possible “expiration” of the surprise effect. Is this really a joke or a preview? We just have to wait for more confirmation (or denial) about the possibility of seeing Nico Hülkenberg and Gabriel Bortoleto behind the wheel of a special version of the C45 in Japan!
