Marc Marquez in Q2, along with Bagnaia and Alex: the three big names are already in Q2
The MotoGP Pre-Qualifying session at the Red Bull Ring delivered thrills, plot twists, and a few surprises in the fight for the ten spots granting direct access to Q2. Marc Marquez, in great form since Friday, confirmed his momentum by setting the fastest time of the session.
Session Recap
The battle for the top-10 was intense from start to finish, with constant position changes and a few crashes that broke the rhythm. The main casualties were Fabio Quartararo, Miguel Oliveira, and Marco Bezzecchi, who all suffered falls and were forced to chase without managing to hit their target. Pedro Acosta finished second, once again showing he’s competitive on any type of track, while Pecco Bagnaia brought his Ducati to third place.
There were also some surprises: Raul Fernandez and Franco Morbidelli secured stable positions in the Q2 zone, while Fermin Aldeguer snatched a valuable ninth place. Tomorrow, the ten qualifiers will fight for pole position, while the others will seek redemption in Q1.
