The six F1 Sprints for 2026 are now official – with the same number of events confirmed, but three surprising new additions to the schedule.
F1 President & CEO Stefano Domenicali stated:
“F1 Sprint has continued to grow in impact and popularity since its introduction in 2021. With four competitive sessions instead of two across a classic Grand Prix weekend, Sprint events deliver more action every day for our fans, broadcasters and promoters – generating greater audiences and engagement. We are also proud to welcome Gatorade as the Official Partner of F1 Sprint, showing the strong global interest in this format.
The 2026 season marks a new era of regulations, and introducing three new Sprint venues will add even more spectacle on track. I’d like to thank the FIA, promoters, partners, stewards, volunteers and sporting clubs who make the Sprint such a success. We look forward to giving fans even more incredible racing in 2026.”
FIA President Mohammed Ben Sulayem added:
“The Sprint format has become an increasingly exciting part of the FIA Formula 1 World Championship, delivering high-intensity racing and extra entertainment for fans worldwide. Looking ahead to the historic 2026 season with a new generation of cars and regulations, I’m pleased to see the Sprint evolve in line with our broader ambitions for the sport.
Including new venues alongside established ones reflects the ongoing enthusiasm from promoters, teams and fans. We will continue to work closely with FOM, the teams, our officials and drivers to ensure the Sprint further enhances the championship.”
The official calendar
The full list of Sprint venues for 2026 has been revealed (image above), with three brand-new tracks joining the rotation. Domenicali also hinted that the number of Sprint weekends could rise in 2027.
