After weeks of waiting, Jorge Martin<\/strong> has returned to speak on his social media channels<\/a>. The disappointment over the pre-season injury is great, and the Aprilia rider shared the difficulties he is facing during this period of his career. <\/p>\n\n

From world champion to multiple surgeries and fractures<\/strong>: the adventure with the new team started in the worst possible way for the Madrid-born rider. After missing Thailand and Argentina, he will also be absent in Austin<\/a>: the new number one on the grid aims to return to the track in Qatar in mid-April, but there is still no certainty about his recovery timeline. <\/p>\n\n

Jorge Martin\u2019s Words<\/h2>\n\n

In a video posted last night, Jorge Martin begins: \u201cHi everyone! I\u2019m making this video to give you updates on my injury. Honestly, <\/strong>the last few weeks have been really tough, I\u2019ve suffered a lot, and that\u2019s why I haven\u2019t been very active on social media, so I apologize to my fans and those who support me, because I think I\u2019ve been a bit absent. <\/em><\/p>\n\n

As you know, I had an initial injury in Malaysia<\/strong>, after which I was recovering quite quickly. I got back to training, I was feeling good. During a supermotard training session before leaving for Thailand, I had a bad fall with a heavy impact<\/strong>. It\u2019s been difficult days, but now I\u2019m starting to see the light<\/strong>.\u201d <\/em><\/p>\n\n

He continues, then explaining more clearly about his physical condition and recovery: \u201cThe most serious injury I had was to my radius <\/strong>and scaphoid<\/strong>, I also had 4 fractures in my left foot<\/strong> and muscle injuries to my ribcage<\/strong>. It wasn\u2019t a minor issue, absolutely. If there\u2019s one thing I can say, it\u2019s that I will give my 100% to return to my best version<\/strong> and learn from my mistakes, as I\u2019ve always tried to do. I\u2019ll be back as soon as possible. <\/em><\/p>\n\n

I\u2019m working hard to recover, and I don\u2019t know exactly when I\u2019ll return. I certainly won\u2019t be in Austin, the goal is to be in Qatar, but nothing is certain<\/strong>. So I don\u2019t know yet. I\u2019m really looking forward to reuniting with the Aprilia team and riding that amazing bike, so that\u2019s all I can tell you. I apologize again for all the time I\u2019ve been absent. I\u2019m starting to feel better and train, my physical condition is improving <\/strong>faster than in the early days of the injury. I hope to see you soon on the track.\u201d <\/em><\/p>\n\n
