An extraordinary victory for the Italian team: now leading the standings.
Lancia returns to winning ways in the World Rally Championship with a dominant performance at the 2026 Rally Croatia. Yohan Rossel and Arnaud Dunand secured victory in WRC2, delivering Team Lancia Corse HF its first win in the category with the new Lancia Ypsilon Rally2 HF Integrale.
This marks a historic result for the Italian brand, which returns to the top step of the podium in the FIA World Rally Championship after more than 30 years, immediately confirming the competitiveness of the new project from its early outings.
Rossel Dominates Croatian Roads: A Family 1-2
The French duo set the pace from the opening stages, claiming six stage wins across the first two days out of a total of 20 stages. Rossel built a strong advantage early, then managed the gap in the closing phases of the rally.
The final margin was 38.8 seconds over second-place finisher Léo Rossel, Yohan’s brother, driving the Citroën C3 Rally2. A result that highlights Lancia’s superiority throughout the weekend.
Two Lancias on the Podium: Third Place for Second Crew
Completing a dream Sunday for the Italian team, Nikolay Gryazin and Konstantin Aleksandrov delivered another strong performance. After a technical issue on Stage 14 pushed them back, the duo responded with a perfect Sunday to secure third place in WRC2.
Overall, Lancia cars claimed 13 stage wins out of 20, underlining just how competitive the new Ypsilon has already become.
Standings and Season Goals
Thanks to the victory in Croatia, and despite only being its second appearance in WRC2, Team Lancia Corse HF strengthens its lead in the teams’ standings with 84 points. In the drivers’ standings, Yohan Rossel moves up to third place, while Gryazin climbs to fifth.
The next round will be the Rally Islas Canarias in two weeks, where Lancia will aim to confirm its strong form and continue its return to the top of the championship. What seemed like a dream just a few years ago is now becoming reality — to the delight of Italian rally fans.
