Gianpiero Lambiase will join the McLaren team from Red Bull in 2028, according to Lando Norris.
After a career at Red Bull, primarily alongside Max Verstappen, Gianpiero Lambiase will join the McLaren team starting in 2028. The Dutchman’s four-time world champion race engineer will join the Woking team, joining TP Andrea Stella in managing various organizational aspects of the team, bringing the expertise and experience he gained during his time at Red Bull.
Lando Norris, in a recent interview with Sky UK, welcomed Lambiase in this way.. We already have an incredibly strong team, but we want the best of the best in every area. As a team, we believe there’s an area where he can contribute. We believe he’s a great team player and someone who can help us improve in another area. It will take a few more years, but he’s a fantastic person. Lambiase has achieved incredible results with Max. Everyone knows him and hears him on the radio. He’s an interesting signing, and I think it’s a great opportunity for us to learn from someone new. .
