Cut through Turn 12 for Andrea Kimi Antonelli: the FIA’s final decision.
The Sprint Race was not particularly exciting for the Silver Arrows: some disappointment in the Mercedes camp, with Antonelli and George Russell both off the podium for the first time this season.

Victory went to Lando Norris, with Oscar Piastri completing a Papaya 1–2 in 2025 style. Third place went to Charles Leclerc, securing an important podium finish (even if only in the Sprint).
A surprise of the weekend so far is definitely Alpine, finishing eighth with Pierre Gasly (1 point for him) and tenth with Franco Colapinto.

Antonelli, the PENALTY decision
The Italian driver, on the final lap, misjudged his approach into Turn 11 and went wide, which ruined his line into Turn 12, where he hit the kerb heavily.
Possibly unaware that he already had three warnings for track limits, the Bologna-born driver crossed the white line of the Miami street circuit.

This left the FIA with no choice: a five-second penalty was applied, dropping Andrea Kimi Antonelli two positions, promoting George Russell and Max Verstappen.
