Lando Norris secured an undeniable victory in the Miami Sprint Race, ahead of Piastri and Leclerc.
Lando Norris triumphed in the Miami Sprint Race. The reigning world champion, starting from pole position, led the race from start to finish, setting a pace unmatchable for anyone, not even Oscar Piastri or Charles Leclerc, who both finished on the podium behind the British driver. This is the first win for a non-Mercedes driver this early in the season, with McLaren poised for a rapid recovery after a difficult start.
Lando Norris expressed his satisfaction at the end of the Sprint: “It’s great to be back on the top step! A good day for us. It was hot and I was sweating. I was pushing, trying to find the right balance between effort and staying relaxed to avoid making mistakes. A good start to the weekend, but now I have to start all over again.” We probably won’t make any changes since the car worked, overall. We’ll change a couple of things. There are a couple of things I want to be different from yesterday that we’ll tweak.” Hopefully we can still achieve something, but I’m sure the others will too. We’ll keep working hard and giving it our all.”
