The official statement

The official news arrived just minutes ago via the rider’s and Team Tech3’s social media pages, with a post reading: Maverick Viñales will miss the French Grand Prix as he continues his recovery from recent corrective shoulder surgery. He will be replaced by Jonas Folger at Red Bull KTM Tech3 for the team’s home race at Le Mans.”

Maverick Viñales’ words

The Spaniard later shared another post expressing his disappointment, but also his determination to keep working hard ahead of his return. He Said: “Le Mans has been the goal since the surgery and I’ve been working hard to get back. After working with the APC last week, the advice is I’m not quite strong enough yet to jump on the bike. Disappointing but coming back at 100% is what matters most. Head down, see you soon. Gutted to be missing the team’s home race.”
