This year’s Nürburgring 24H is an absolute record-breaker: it will be sold out for the very first time in its history. And one of the reasons is undoubtedly Max Verstappen

With F1 in the pits again this week, the Super GT engines are roaring to life. While the circus will wait another 12 days before landing in Montréal for the Canadian GP weekend, the Nürburgring 24H in Germany will light up this motorsport weekend.

However, this year’s edition of the GT race on German soil will not be like the others: taking on the 24H on the Nordschleife circuit—where he also raced in F1 back in 2020 in his Red Bull—will be four-time world champion Max Verstappen.

The Numbers Behind the Nürburgring 24H and Where to Watch It on TV

One of the most thrilling and highly anticipated races for motorsport fans is just around the corner. The Nürburgring 24H will take place this very weekend, from May 14 to 17, featuring a Grand Prix lasting exactly 24 consecutive hours.

Sometimes, the success of alternative categories to F1 in the motorsport world is best confirmed by the event’s ticket sales figures, which for the first time in its history will be completely sold out.

Once again, this proves how four-wheeled racing is increasingly winning over the public, undoubtedly boosted by the participation of Max Verstappen behind the wheel of his Mercedes. This was highlighted by Walter Hornung, the event director: “We are naturally delighted with the enormous success achieved among both long-time fans and newcomers, who have literally overwhelmed us this year“.

At the same time, however, we are working closely with the Nürburgring and the authorities to ensure an orderly and safe stay for all visitors. For this reason, for the first time in the over 50-year history of the Nürburgring 24 Hours, we have had to cap the number of tickets “.

Regarding the live television broadcast of the Nordschleife event (which will kick off on Saturday, May 16 at 3:00 PM), viewing will be guaranteed on the Sky Sport YouTube channel and on Red Bull TV.
