Ferrari is called upon to react after a disappointing weekend in Miami, compounded by Charles Leclerc’s penalty.
Montreal is looking to turn the page and quickly forget Miami, with a focus on the near future. Ferrari arrives in Canada with a very clear objective: to cling to the top spots while awaiting the ADUO and the new engine, given the significant power deficit the Maranello team faces compared to its rivals. The Canadian track presents the classic pitfalls of street circuits, and the weather could be an additional variable.
Fred Vasseur, during his usual address to the team’s official channels, presented the round as follows: He Said: “Canada is always a special event, with a great atmosphere both in the city and on the track, and we know how much support Ferrari has there, including from the many Italian fans. From a sporting perspective, Montreal is never easy. The track is very demanding on the brakes, and traction is crucial when exiting slow corners and chicanes.
This year, the weather and low temperatures could add another layer of complexity, especially with the Sprint format, which will give us little time to prepare. We’ll need to be ready from the first session, focus on execution, and make the most of every opportunity throughout the weekend.”
