F1 standings after Canada: Kimi flies, Ferrari closes in on Mercedes

The Canadian Grand Prix completely reshuffles the cards: McLaren gets the strategy wrong at the start, followed by several retirements and penalties. Here’s how the standings have changed.

Andrea Kimi Antonelli claims his fourth victory of the season in just five races! His battle with George Russell ends early after the British driver retires due to technical problems: this allows the championship leader to extend his advantage to +43.

An excellent performance from Lewis Hamilton, who achieves his best race result since joining Ferrari. Both Red Bulls and both Alpines also finish in the points: below are the updated F1 standings after Canada.
