Ferrari has officially unveiled the Luce, the very first fully electric car in the history of the Prancing Horse.

Designed, developed and built in Maranello, the Luce marks a radical turning point for Ferrari: four doors, five seats and all-wheel drive create the most spacious and versatile Ferrari ever produced.

The electric architecture, in-house developed motors and next-generation transmission form a completely new technical package, created to bring Ferrari’s identity into entirely new territory.

The Luce’s design was developed together with Sir Jony Ive and Marc Newson from the LoveFrom collective — the same minds behind Apple’s modern aesthetic revolution. The result is a clean and coherent visual language that extends from the exterior to the cabin and digital interface, with simplified shapes focused on the driving experience. Inside, the cockpit is built around hundreds of individual elements, each designed almost as its own object, combining into one refined and harmonious environment. Touch controls, mechanical switches and elegant multifunction displays coexist in a balance between physical and digital interaction.

From a technical standpoint, the Luce features the lowest aerodynamic drag coefficient in Ferrari history, achieved through active grille systems and ride-height management that lowers the front axle by 10 mm while driving. One of the most delicate topics for any electric sports car — the sound — has been approached with a unique solution. Sound waves generated by electromechanical vibrations on the axles are captured, equalized and delivered back to the driver in an authentic and functional way, activating in manual mode and in the Performance setting of the new e-Manettino.
