With 15 world titles, 123 Grand Prix wins, and 10 Tourist Trophy victories, Giacomo Agostini is the most successful Italian rider of all time. Now, at the age of 82, he makes his debut on the big screen.

The new film about Giacomo Agostini is out now: it was presented today at the 19th Rome Film Fest.

The documentary, titled “Ago”, tells the story of the legendary rider from Brescia. Produced by Giangiacomo De Stefano, it explores Agostini’s life in motorcycle racing, narrated by the man himself and featuring special guests from the world of sports and beyond.

Among those who contributed are Freddie Spencer, Marc Marquez, Carmelo Ezpeleta, Marco Lucchinelli, Carlos Lavado, Gianni Morandi, and Guido Meda. They all shared their thoughts on the 15-time champion, portraying him not just as a rider but also as a man.

A quote from Marc Marquez, winner of the latest GP at Phillip Island, captures the essence of the legend: “Years go by, yet his name is always at the top. He won so much, he made motorcycling history”, said the eight-time world champion.

From the 1960s with the phenomenal MV Augusta, to his switch to Yamaha, and his debut as a team manager in 1982, the film, distributed by Adler Entertainment and produced in collaboration with Sky, is already destined to become a must-see for motorcycling fans and beyond.
