Charles Leclerc introduced the Las Vegas Grand Prix during an interview with Sky Sport News.
It’s Las Vegas Grand Prix week. After a two-week break, Formula 1 will return to action with the twenty-second and third-to-last race of the season. Among the hotels and casinos of the “Sin City,” Max Verstappen could clinch the World Championship, while the Constructors’ title is seeing a tight battle between Ferrari and McLaren.
The three consecutive races (Austin, Mexico, and Brazil) have been favorable for the Maranello team, which has managed to reduce its gap to McLaren, with the British team now holding only a 36-point advantage over Ferrari. The Las Vegas circuit, considering what happened last season, represents a great opportunity for Ferrari due to its layout, which suits the characteristics of the SF-24.
Ferrari’s drivers are confident, starting with Charles Leclerc. These were the words of the Monegasque driver: “I think on paper it’s a track where we should be able to get good results. However, the fact that we have improved a lot in tire management means that on a cold track like this, it will be difficult to get the tires into the right window.”
Ferrari’s number 16, who has achieved three wins this season, also earned a pole position and a second-place finish in last year’s race on the streets of Las Vegas. Leclerc then added: “On paper, the situation is still positive. Maybe not as positive as last year, but seeing how close everything is, I believe we will have the chance to win.”
