Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri spoke to the press ahead of the Las Vegas Grand Prix, with both McLaren drivers looking for redemption.
On Thursday, with the usual driver press conference, the weekend leading up to the Las Vegas Grand Prix will officially begin. All eyes will be on McLaren, eager to bounce back with Norris and Piastri after their lackluster performance in Brazil.
The British driver, now unable to catch Verstappen, can’t wait to get on track to erase his sixth-place finish in Brazil. Here are his words: “It was great to be back at the McLaren Technology Center with the team to prepare for the last three races of the year. I’ve spent a lot of time on the simulator with my engineers. Everyone is highly motivated, and we’ll give it our all in both championships. We’ll be racing under the lights in Las Vegas.
Racing along the Strip is incredible, and I can’t wait to do it in the MCL38. We’ve raced with a really competitive car this year, but our rivals are just as strong, so we’ll see what happens this weekend.”
After conceding the Sprint win to his teammate, Oscar Piastri is aiming high for this weekend. The Australian comes off an eighth-place finish in Brazil, and here’s what he had to say: “I’m really looking forward to getting on track in Las Vegas for the final, important triple-header of the year. We’re working hard to maintain our lead in the Constructors’ Championship and finish the season on a high. The goal is to secure more wins and podiums. The whole team is determined and putting in a lot of effort, and I’m extremely motivated to make sure we get some good results in this final part of the season.”
