These are the images, shown in a video by his father Maurizio, of his yellow Broncos motorcycle after the accident in Germany. Salvadori Sr. stated, Luca was riding at 80% and was not a reckless rider seeking unnecessary risks.”

The dynamics of the accident

During the first laps, the rider ahead of Salvadori lost control and crashed violently at 250 km/h in a highside accident. In an attempt to avoid him, Luca moved to the left side of the track, which led him onto the grass, causing him to fall.

The motorcycle hit the barriers first, which were improperly secured and unapproved, displacing them and creating a gap filled with hay bales. Salvadori struck these bales with his body at a speed of 102 km/h. Moreover, the hay bales, which were placed perpendicularly rather than parallel to the track, had been banned since 2018.
