The rotation of European circuits, strongly advocated by F1 CEO Stefano Domenicali, began with the renewal of Spa and could pave the way for the return of the Turkish Grand Prix. The last edition of the Turkish race took place in the 2021 season, when, in wet track conditions, Valtteri Bottas claimed victory, while Sergio Perez engaged in an incredible battle with Lewis Hamilton.

Five years later, Turkey has a great opportunity to rejoin the map of the world’s most important motorsport competition, but to do so, it will need official approval from the government, which is necessary to ensure substantial financial support to fund the event.

In a recent interview, Domenicali confirmed the ongoing discussions with various circuits, starting with Turkey. Here’s what he had to say about it: “Discussions are ongoing with Turkey for their return to the championship.”
