Lando Norris predicts a very balanced season with minimal gaps and surprise winners in the 24 races on the calendar.
The 2025 season is shaping up to be one of the most balanced in recent years of F1. While awaiting the regulatory changes that will take place next year, the ten teams are ready to hit the track for the Bahrain tests (from February 26 to 28), and there is great anticipation to get a general sense of the competitive landscape.

There is expected to be a lot of balance, with Lando Norris making his prediction for the season ahead. These are the words of the 2024 vice-world champion: “This year, we expect the teams to be even closer to each other in terms of performance. Every time the regulations stay the same, teams tend to get closer. That’s always been the case. By the end of last year, the situation was already quite close, and we started to see the midfield catching up and getting closer to the top teams.”
The English driver then added: “I expect this to happen even more this season. There will probably be new teams winning races, not just McLaren, Ferrari, Mercedes, or Red Bull. And I think this is good for both Formula 1 and the fans. I believe that in the fight for victory, it won’t just be the usual suspects. This year will be a bit different. Maybe not at the start, but certainly throughout the season, we’ll see a more dynamic situation.”
Norris concluded: “If we look at the end of last season, with the number of different winners from different teams, it all points to a very competitive 2025. Each race will be very uncertain. For almost all of 2024, we thought we were in the running for a win, but for most of the season, we didn’t know who the main rival would be, and the situation changed week by week. I expect this year to be exactly the same.”
