Dutch driver Jarno Opmeer triumphs for the third time in the F1 Esports World Championship, becoming the first three-time champion
Jarno Opmeer is the new F1 Esports World Champion! The Oracle Red Bull Sim Racing driver secured the title in the final round of the championship, finishing seventh in the decisive race held at the EFG Studio in Stockholm, Sweden.

With this victory, Opmeer cements his place in F1 Sim Racing history: with three world titles (2020, 2021, 2025), he surpasses Brendon Leigh (who retired right after this race), a two-time champion in 2017 and 2018, becoming the most successful driver in the competition’s history.
From P14 to World Champion: Opmeer’s Climb to Glory
It wasn’t an easy finale for Opmeer. Starting from 14th on the grid, he had to fight his way through the field, carefully managing the risks and securing a position high enough to clinch the world title. The result confirms Oracle Red Bull Sim Racing’s dominance, marking the second consecutive drivers’ championship for the team—following Frederik Rasmussen’s victory on the F1 23 game in the 2023-24 season.
But that’s not all. In addition to Opmeer’s individual title, Oracle Red Bull Sim Racing also claimed the Teams’ Championship, earning a $130,000 prize. This marks the third teams’ title in the esports squad’s eight-year history, further solidifying their reputation for spotting top-tier sim racing talent.

The Dutch national anthem once again echoes in esports, just as it does in Formula 1 with Max Verstappen’s victories—a triumph that establishes Opmeer as the most decorated sim racer in F1 Esports history.
