A magical weekend for rider #11 of the Aruba.it Team: he scores a double win in the first two races and now eyes a perfect sweep this afternoon.

Temperatures drop at the Lombard circuit, but things heat up in the well-populated grandstands: just as the Superpole Race begins, a ray of sunshine breaks through the sky above the Cremona Circuit, highlighting the second consecutive victory for our fellow Italian, Nicolò Bulega.

The podium remains unchanged from Race 1, with Razgatlioglu in second and Bautista in third. Iannone is penalized, while Petrucci completes a strong race despite starting at a disadvantage.

Race Highlights

THE START – Déjà vu of Race 1: once again, a great start from Bulega and Razgatlioglu, followed by Bautista and Iannone. Sam Lowes, meanwhile, slips back to fifth position once again, while Jonathan Rea climbs from the back up to thirteenth right away.

But then comes the first twist: a jump start is spotted from the Pata Go Eleven Team rider, who receives a double long lap penalty. However, Iannone pulls off a true feat, immediately serving the penalty and still managing to re-enter the points zone.

An excellent comeback from Danilo Petrucci, who, with one overtaking move after another, rebuilds a tough race after yesterday’s Superpole: starting from thirteenth place, the former winner at Cremona Circuit manages to claim four valuable points for the riders’ standings.
