Davide Tardozzi didn’t hold back: “It’s time for Marc and Vale to start sending positive messages.”
The embarrassing reaction of some fans at Mugello didn’t go unnoticed—and quickly made headlines around the world. Marc Marquez was booed after winning the Sprint race, not because of anything he did yesterday, but due to a decade-old grudge still held by people who clearly don’t understand the spirit of this sport.

Davide Tardozzi’s words
Here’s Tardozzi’s words to Sky Sport: “I believe that, by now, these kinds of unsporting attitudes can no longer be justified. They’re still tied to something that happened ten years ago, and it’s time to move on and look ahead. I really think Marc and Valentino, two icons of this sport, should be the ones to start sharing positive messages.
Marc had an outstanding race yesterday, and I truly appreciated the fans who chanted ‘Pecco, Pecco’ under the podium—even though he didn’t win—because that’s what real sportsmanship looks like. If you don’t like a rider, that’s fine. But booing? That’s not what this sport is about.

I don’t want to reopen the debate on what happened ten years ago, on who was right or wrong. Personally, I think the blame was shared equally—50-50. What happened, happened. It’s part of history now, and we can’t change it. I’d really love to see Vale and Marc shake hands someday. That would be a powerful message: that the sport can move forward.
As for the boos Pecco received in Barcelona… unfortunately, you see this kind of behavior everywhere. But the point is, it’s time to focus on performance again, on the racing itself. The past is the past. Mistakes were made, but now it’s time to turn the page.”
