Swedish driver Dino Beganovic, born in 2004, will step in for Charles Leclerc during FP1 at the Austrian Grand Prix, taking the wheel of the SF-25 in Spielberg as part of Ferrari’s ongoing driver development program.

A member of the Ferrari Driver Academy, Beganovic returns to F1 machinery for what will be his second—and likely final—free practice session of the 2025 season. The outing marks another key milestone in his progression, following previous test outings with the Scuderia.
This isn’t his first time in the SF-25: Beganovic already drove the car in Bahrain earlier this year, while also competing full-time in Formula 2 with Hitech. With this session, he becomes the fifth Ferrari Driver Academy talent to drive for the Scuderia in an official session, following in the footsteps of Charles Leclerc and Ollie Bearman (now full-time F1 drivers), as well as Robert Shwartzman and Arthur Leclerc, who appeared in free practice only.
Currently 10th in the Formula 2 standings, Beganovic has collected 29 points this season—6 in Bahrain and 17 in Imola, where he scored a podium in the Feature Race.
His FP1 appearance in Austria will be a valuable opportunity to gather data, gain experience, and showcase his potential for a future seat in Formula 1.
