The Moto2 Practice sessions in the Netherlands have wrapped up: Filip Salac sets the pace, but Manu Gonzalez shows a very promising race pace. Here are the session results.

Following the Moto3 sessions, it was time for Moto2 pre-qualifying. As the morning progressed, the track became more rubbered-in, significantly lowering lap times. However, pushing the bikes to the limit also increased the risk of crashes. In the final part of the session, yellow flags were waved frequently due to incidents involving Binder, Vietti, Navarro, Baltus, and finally Arenas.

On a more positive note, Filip Salac dominated the session, finishing ahead of Aron Canet (2nd) and Manu Gonzalez (3rd). Italians Tony Arbolino (4th) and Celestino Vietti (13th) also secured direct access to Q2. Despite his late crash, Vietti will still participate directly in the second qualifying session tomorrow.

There was a bit of luck amidst misfortune for Jake Dixon: the British rider suffered an engine failure after just three laps (including his out lap). Nonetheless, a strong early lap on fresh tires allowed him to skip Q1 with the eighth-fastest time.

It was another tough weekend for the Aspar Team rookies: both Alonso and Holgado failed to finish among the top 14 and will need to completely rebuild their qualifying efforts tomorrow morning.
