Three British TikTokers were arrested after damaging a 2019 Racing Point car – here’s what went down.
During the 2025 British Grand Prix weekend at Silverstone, three well-known British streamers were arrested on charges of property damage involving a historic Formula 1 car. The individuals involved are AngryGinge (Morgan Burtwistle), Chazza (Charlie Clark), and SamHam – all popular on Twitch and TikTok for their sports and entertainment content.
According to reports by Fanpage.it and our friends at Motori Dimenticati, the incident took place on Friday, July 4, during Free Practice sessions.
While live on Twitch, the trio approached an exhibition area in the Fanzone where a 2019 BWT Racing Point – a car formerly run by Lawrence Stroll’s team, now Aston Martin – was on display. Clark was caught on camera laughing while trying to climb into the cockpit of the car, triggering an immediate response from security.
Estimated Damages: £30,000
According to Northamptonshire Police, the estimated damage amounts to around £30,000 (over €35,000). The three men, aged 23, 25, and 27, were arrested for criminal damage and held in custody for more than 15 hours.
“We received a report of a classic Formula 1 car being damaged, with losses estimated in the tens of thousands of pounds,” a police spokesperson stated. All three were released without further charges, but the incident sparked controversy, especially due to the visibility it gained on social media.
AngryGinge Downplays the Incident
The most well-known of the group, Morgan “AngryGinge” Burtwistle (age 23), boasts 1.8 million followers on TikTok and is known for collaborations with public figures like darts prodigy Luke Littler and F1 driver Lando Norris, who won Sunday’s race. He was also named Man of the Match at the recent Soccer Aid charity event.
After his release, AngryGinge returned to streaming – this time wearing an orange jumpsuit and fake handcuffs, joking about the arrest:
“They got us for just sitting in a car – apparently, that’s not how it works in F1. We got locked up for watching someone else do it. They claimed it was 30 grand in damage… Spent 15 hours in a concrete cell. Didn’t even get questioned.”
